After months of careful preparation, Glade United Church of Christ in
Walkersville announced its “Our Church - Our Future” capital
campaign, targeted to raise $595,000 over the next three years for capital
improvements to the church’s property and ministries. |

Published monthly, our church newsletter is an important communication
tool to stay in touch with members and friends. Our church newsletter
communicates important information about church programs and events, ensures
continuing contact with the church, and is a window into the life of our
church. |

Learning
Through Study
Glade Church offers many opportunities for you to continue learning about
God, Jesus, the Bible, and putting it all into the context of today’s
world. Through a series of short courses for adults Sunday mornings, on
topics such as “Immigration Issues in the U.S.–Profile and
Prospect,” “The Movies and Our Faith,” or “Boundaries:
When to say ‘yes,’ When to say ‘No,’ Taking Control
of Your Life,” adults explore their faith in the context of real
issues affecting their lives. As Jesus said, “let the little children
come to me,” we not only welcome and offer programs for all ages
of children and youth, we engage them in worship and learning activities. |

Through Serving
Church life at Glade Church is no “spectator sport.” We are
committed to active outreach ministries in our local community, regionally
and globally. We feed the hungry, clothe the naked, give shelter to the
homeless, and care for those who suffer. Glade Church offers many opportunities

The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured,
the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the
poor (Matthew 11:5 New International Version). You will hear about the
many ways to serve others at Glade Church, but perhaps you are the one
