The congregation has laypersons, called “caregivers,” who are trained and commissioned to provide Christian care for others. The care and friendship of a Glade caregiver can be a source of strength, comfort, and guidance to persons going through important and difficult times. What kind of needs will the Caregiving Ministry address?
Our Caregivers are not:
Do you have a special need or know someone who does? You can refer that person or family to the Pastor or a coordinator on this team by filling out a referral form at the Welcome Center in our facilities. Prayer Shawl Ministry A group of folks come together to knit shawls and scarves to give to those who are grieving or struggling with a life-threatening illness or who are living in isolated situations. The Caregiving Team members and Pastor blesses this shawl and then gives it to the person in need. The group also gives training to those who wish to learn how to knit. |
